C. H. Mackintosh was one of the greatly gifted teachers of the Plymouth Brethren. His works were the most widely printed of the Brethren. D. L. Moody said that "it was C. H. Mackintosh who had the greatest influence" upon his learning of the Word of God.
Two of his most noted works were Notes on the Pentateuch and a series of articles in Miscellaneous Writings. He also edited a periodical entitled Things New and Old.
